What is a quiet zone and why is it important for barcode scanning?
A quiet zone is the blank, clear margin on either side of the barcode. Laser and optical barcode scanners require this margin to detect where the symbol starts and ends. We recommend keeping at least a 10px margin to avoid scan failures.
